श्री जगन्नाथ सेवा समिति में राजा प्रताप आदित्य सिंहदेव फिर बने अध्यक्ष

 आज दिनांक 13.10.2024 रविवार विजयादशमी की पावन अवसर पर श्री जगन्नाथ सेवा समिति,सरायकेला का एक महत्वपूर्ण बैठक जगन्नाथ मंदिर में आयोजित किया गया।इस बैठक में सरायकेला जगन्नाथ सेवा समिति अगले सत्र के लिए नया कार्यकारिणी पुनर्गठन किया गया।

बैठक में सर्वसम्मति से जगन्नाथ सेवा समिति के पूर्व कार्यकारिणी को भंग करते हुए अगले सत्र के लिए नया कार्यकारिणी पुनर्गठन किया गया।श्री जगन्नाथ सेवा समिति में सरायकेला राजा श्री प्रताप आदित्य सिंहदेव स्थायी संरक्षक हैं। 

बैठक में उपस्थित सदस्यों द्वारा सर्वसम्मति से पुनः श्री राजा सिंहदेव को जगन्नाथ सेवा समिति का अध्यक्ष मनोनीत किया गया,उपाध्यक्ष पद पर श्री सुदीप पटनायक,श्री गणेश सत्पथी,श्री सानंद आचार्य,सचिव पद पर श्री पार्थसारथी दाश,सह सचिव पद पर श्री राजेश मिश्रा,श्री सुमित महापात्र,कोषाध्यक्ष पद पर श्री शंकर सत्पथी,सह कोषाध्यक्ष पद पर श्री दिपेश कुमार एवं श्री वीरेन्द्र महांति,महाप्रसाद एवं रसोई प्रबंधक के लिए श्री चिरंजीवी महापात्र एवं सह प्रबंधक श्री परशुराम कबी मनोनीत किए गए।श्री जगन्नाथ सेवा समिति के कोर कमेटी मार्गदर्शक मंडली में श्री बादल दूबे,श्री चन्द्रशेखर कर,श्री सुधीर चन्द्र दाश,श्री सुशांत महापात्र एवं श्रीमती चित्रा पटनायक को मनोनीत किया गया।आज के इस महत्वपूर्ण बैठक में जगन्नाथ सेवा समिति के श्री प्रशांत महापात्र,पंडित सानो आचार्य, श्री राजीव महापात्र,श्री गुड्डू मिश्रा,श्री मनबोध दारोगा,श्री राजा पटनायक,श्री अक्षय आचार्य सहित अन्य उपस्थित रहे।

Seraikela Jagannath Seva Samiti Reconstitutes, Announces New Office Bearers

On the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami, a significant meeting of Shri Jagannath Seva Samiti, Seraikela was held at Jagannath Temple. In this meeting, the Seraikela Jagannath Seva Samiti reconstituted its executive committee for the next session.

The meeting unanimously dissolved the previous executive committee and reconstituted the new executive committee for the next session. Shri Jagannath Seva Samiti has Shri Pratap Aditya Singhdeo, Raja of Seraikela, as its permanent patron.

Present members unanimously re-elected Shri Raja Singhdeo as the President of Jagannath Seva Samiti, Shri Sudeep Patnaik, Shri Ganesh Satpathy, and Shri Sanand Acharya as Vice-Presidents, Shri Parthasarathi Dash as Secretary, Shri Rajesh Mishra and Shri Sumit Mahapatra as Joint Secretaries, Shri Shankar Satpathy as Treasurer, and Shri Dipesh Kumar and Shri Veerendra Mahanti as Joint Treasurers.

Shri Chiranjeevi Mahapatra and Shri Parshuram Kabee were appointed as Mahaprasad and Rasoi Manager and Assistant Manager, respectively.The following members were nominated to Shri Jagannath Seva Samiti's Core Committee and Guidance Panel: Shri Badal Dube, Shri Chandrashekhar Kar, Shri Sudhir Chandra Dash, Shri Sushant Mahapatra, and Smt. Chitra Patnaik.

सरायकेला : मुरुप गांव में कल भक्त दहकते अंगारों पर चलकर दिखाएंगे हटभक्ति*

सरायकेला के मुरुप गांव में देवी वनदुर्गा के पूजा की तैयारी अंतिम चरण पर है. यहां मां वन देवी के प्रति भक्तों की अटूट श्रद्धा व विश्वास है. हर वर्ष यहां विजया दशमी के दूसरे दिन एकादशी को पूजा के लिये भक्तों की भीड़ उमड़ पड़ती है. मां के प्रति भक्तों की आस्था कहिए या देवी वनदुर्गा की असीम कृपा, यहां मां वन दुर्गा को प्रसन्न करने के लिए भक्त कई तरह के हठभक्ति को प्रदर्शित करते है. यह आस्था व भक्ति आज नहीं बल्कि सदियों से चली आ रही है.

 *क्या कहते है प्रत्यक्षदर्शी* मुरुप गांव के रहने वाले हेमसागर प्रधान ने बताया कि गांव में स्थित दुर्गा मंदिर में स्थापित माता देवी वनदुर्गा की प्रतिमा की पूजा विधिवत दशमी से 16 दिन पहले शुरू हो जाती है. दशमी के बाद एकादशी के दिन यहां माता की भव्य पूजा अर्चना की जाती है. एकादशी के दिन, यानी इस साल 14 अक्टूबर को सुबह में स्थानीय जलाशय से जल देवी की पूजा अर्चना कर भक्तों द्वारा दंडी पाठ करते हुए मंदिर परिसर पहुंचेंगे. मंदिर पहुंचने से पहले भक्तों से लोग अपने घरों में परिवार की सुख शांति व समृद्धि के लिए पूजा अर्चना कराते हैं. इस दौरान भक्तों द्वारा मां को प्रसन्न करने के लिए कई आकर्षक करतब दिखाएंगे.

*अग्निकुंड पर चलते हैं भक्त, नहीं पड़ते छाले*

मंदिर परिसर में मां पाऊड़ी के समक्ष 20 फीट लंबा और दो फीट चौड़ा व गड्ढा खोदकर अग्निकुंड बनाया गया है. यहां देवी माता अग्नि देवी की पूजा अर्चना की जाती है. इस पूजा के बाद भक्त देवी को प्रसन्न करने के लिए दहकते अंगारों पर नंगे पांव दौड़ेंगे. देवी वनदुर्गा की असीम भक्ति की कृपा से इन भक्तों के पांव में छाले तक नहीं पड़ते हैं. 

मन्नत के अनुसार महिला व पुरुष अपने अराध्य देव को प्रसन्न करने के लिए कंटीले झाड़ियों पर लेटकर भक्ति की परीक्षा देते हैं. भक्तों के करतब को देखने के लिए हर साल यहां पड़ोसी जिला समेत आसपास के हजारों भक्तों की भीड़ उमड़ पड़ती हैं, जिसकी निगरानी श्री श्री शुभनाथ क्लब, मुरुप द्वारा की जाती है.

*देउरी द्वारा की जाती है पूजा*

सरायकेला के इस मंदिर में देवी वनदुर्गा की पूजा देउरी द्वारा की जाती है. मंदिर में कई साल से पुजारी के रूप में रामनाथ होता, यदुनंदन होता, गौर दास व कुथलु प्रधान व अन्य द्वारा पूजा कराई जा रही है.

 *क्या कहते है पुजारी*

*रामनाथ होता*(पुजारी) ने बताया कि माता की असीम कृपा के कारण माता के दरबार में भक्तों द्वारा सच्ची मन से मांगी गई हर मुरादें पूरी होती है. 

 *गौर दास* ( पुजारी)ने बताया कि देवी माता वनदुर्गा पर सच्ची आस्थापूर्वक नंगे पांव अंगारों पर चलने के बावजूद भक्तों के पांव में छाले नहीं पड़ते है. 

*कुथलु प्रधान* (पुजारी) ने बताया कि यहां एक ओर भक्त फरियाद लेकर मां के दरवार में अर्जी लगाने आते हैं, वहीं दूसरी ओर भक्त अपनी मन्नते पूरी होने पर मां को शुक्रिया अदा करने के लिए दरबार में पहुंचते हैं. इस अवसर पर भक्तों की भीड़ लग जाती है.

Seraikela: Devotees in Murup Village to Showcase Hatha Bhakti by Walking on Burning Embers Tomorrow

Preparations for the worship of Goddess Vandurga in Murup village, Seraikela, are in their final stages. The devotees have immense faith and devotion toward Maa Van Devi (Goddess of the Forest). Every year, on the day of Ekadashi (the eleventh day after Vijaya Dashami), 

a large crowd of devotees gathers here for worship. Whether it is the unwavering devotion of the devotees or the infinite grace of Goddess Vandurga, the devotees perform various acts of intense devotion (Hatha Bhakti) to please the goddess. This tradition of devotion has been carried on for centuries.

What Eyewitnesses Say

Hem Sagar Pradhan, a resident of Murup village, said that the worship of the deity Vandurga at the Durga Temple in the village begins 16 days before Dashami. On the day of Ekadashi, which this year falls on October 14, the grand worship of the deity is conducted. Early in the morning, devotees fetch water from a local reservoir and perform the ritual known as Dandi Path, walking to the temple while offering prayers for peace and prosperity in their families. Before reaching the temple, many devotees perform these rites at their homes. During this period, devotees showcase several fascinating feats to please the goddess.

Walking on Fire, Yet No Burns

In front of Maa Paudi within the temple grounds, a 20-foot-long and two-foot-wide pit is dug to create a fire pit (Agnikund). The devotees worship Goddess Agni (fire) at this site. After the rituals, devotees run barefoot on the burning embers to please Goddess Vandurga. By the immense grace of the goddess, these devotees do not suffer from any burns or blisters on their feet. According to tradition, both men and women lie on thorny bushes as an offering to please their deity. Thousands of devotees from nearby districts and neighboring areas gather every year to witness these feats. The event is managed by the Shri Shri Subhanath Club, Murup.

Worship Performed by Deuri

In this temple, the worship of Goddess Vandurga is performed by the Deuri (traditional tribal priests). The temple’s rituals have been conducted for several years by priests such as Ramnath Hota, Yadunandan Hota, Gaur Das, Kuthlu Pradhan, and others.

What the Priests Say

Ramnath Hota (priest) said that by the boundless grace of the goddess, every true wish made at her shrine is fulfilled.

Gaur Das (priest) mentioned that despite walking barefoot on the burning embers with true faith in Goddess Vandurga, devotees do not develop any blisters on their feet.

Kuthlu Pradhan (priest) added that while some devotees come to the temple with prayers and petitions for the goddess, others come to express their gratitude after their wishes have been fulfilled. This draws large crowds of devotees to the temple.
