XLRI ऑडिटोरियम में आयोजित हुआ जमशेदपुर महिला विश्वविद्यालय का भव्य तृतीय दीक्षांत समारोह

जमशेदपुर महिला विश्वविद्यालय का तृतीय दीक्षांत समारोह 19 नवम्बर 2025 को शहर के ऐतिहासिक XLRI ऑडिटोरियम परिसर में अत्यंत गरिमामय और औपचारिक माहौल में आयोजित किया गया। समारोह की शोभा बढ़ाने हेतु मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में महामहिम राज्यपाल सह कुलाधिपति, माननीय श्री संतोष कुमार गंगवार जी का पर्दापण हुआ।

महामहिम राज्यपाल सह कुलाधिपति का स्वागत विश्वविद्यालय की माननीय कुलपति प्रो. (डॉ.) अंजिला गुप्ता, कुलसचिव तथा अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों एवं छात्राओं द्वारा पारंपरिक सम्मान-विधि के साथ किया गया। विश्वविद्यालय की छात्राओं ने संथाल जनजाति की सांस्कृतिक पहचान को प्रदर्शित करते हुए संथाली स्वागत नृत्य प्रस्तुत किया, जिसके बाद NSS Clap Ceremony के माध्यम से महामहिम का औपचारिक  स्वागत किया गया।   अकादमी परेड में एकेडमिक काउंसिल के सदस्य गण, सिंडिकेट सदस्य, राज्यपाल द्वारा नामित सदस्य, माननीय कुलपति एवं महामहिम राज्यपाल सह कुलाधिपति सम्मिलित हुए।  कार्यक्रम का शुभारम्भ राष्ट्रगान के साथ हुआ । जिसके उपरांत माननीय कुलपति प्रो० डॉ अंजिला गुप्ता  ने महामहिम को शाॅल, झारखण्ड की जनजातीय संस्कृति का प्रतीक चिह्न एवं श्रीफल का पौधा भेंट कर सम्मानित किया। तत्पश्चात दीप प्रज्ज्वलन के साथ समारोह की औपचारिक शुरुआत की गई तथा डॉ० सनातन दीप द्वारा विश्वविद्यालय का कुलगीत प्रस्तुत किया गया।

कुलसचिव डॉ. सलोमी कुजूर के अनुरोध पर कुलाधिपति महोदय ने दीक्षांत समारोह के आरंभ की घोषणा की। इसके बाद विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा प्रकाशित स्मारिका (Souvenir) का विमोचन किया गया । 

अपने स्वागत उद्बोधन में माननीय कुलपति महोदया प्रो. (डॉ.) अंजिला गुप्ता ने महामहिम राज्यपाल सह कुलाधिपति, माननीय अतिथियों एवं सभी सहभागियों का स्वागत करते हुए विश्वविद्यालय की शैक्षणिक एवं शोध–संबंधी उपलब्धियों का विस्तृत प्रतिवेदन प्रस्तुत किया। इस विश्वविद्यालय ने वर्ष 2022 में ही नई शिक्षा नीति 2020 (NEP 2020) पर आधारित पाठ्यक्रम को शुरू करके पूरे जमशेदपुर में एक अग्रणी पहल की।अनुसूचित जाति एवं जनजाति की छात्राओं को शिक्षा से जोड़ा गया।विभिन्न विभागों के छात्राओं द्वारा अलग- अलग क्षेत्रों में इंटर्णशिप कर , अपनी  महत्वपूर्ण निभाई। उन्होंने बताया कि विश्वविद्यालय की छात्राएँ राष्ट्र निर्माण से जुड़े विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में अपना परचम लहरा रही हैं। यहाँ की छात्राएँ प्रतिवर्ष गणतंत्र दिवस के अवसर पर राजपथ के कर्त्तव्य पथ की परेड में शामिल होती हैं। साथ ही साथ भविष्य में विश्वविद्यालय को उन्नत करने की प्रस्तावित योजनाओं का भी उल्लेख किया। उन्होंने यह भी बताया  कि विश्वविद्यालय की छात्राएँ राष्ट्रनिर्माण, शोध, कला, खेल, तकनीक, सामाजिक विज्ञान, नवाचार, उद्यमिता तथा सामुदायिक सेवा जैसे विविध क्षेत्रों में उत्कृष्ट योगदान दे रही हैं। राष्ट्रीय एवं अंतरराष्ट्रीय मंचों पर भी उनकी प्रतिष्ठित भागीदारी निरंतर विश्वविद्यालय का गौरव बढ़ा रही है। माननीय कुलपति महोदया ने सभी उपाधि–धारकों को उज्ज्वल भविष्य के लिए शुभकामनाएँ दीं।

कुलसचिव डॉ. सलोमी कुजूर के आग्रह पर विभिन्न संकायाध्यक्षों ने

सत्र 2023–25 के स्नातकोत्तर, स्नातकोत्तर वोकेशनल एवं बी.एड. तथा

सत्र 2022–25 के स्नातक वोकेशनल के उपाधि–धारकों को संबोधित किया।

इसके उपरांत क्रमवार सभी संकायाध्यक्षों के अनुरोध पर माननीय कुलपति महोदया प्रो. (डॉ.) अंजिला गुप्ता ने विज्ञान संकाय, समाज विज्ञान संकाय, मानविकी संकाय और वाणिज्य संकाय के स्नातक एवं स्नातकोत्तर उपाधि–धारकों को औपचारिक रूप से उपाधियाँ धारण करने की अनुमति प्रदान की।

महामहिम राज्यपाल सह कुलाधिपति  माननीय श्री सन्तोष कुमार गंगवार जी ने दीक्षांत संबोधन में पूरे विश्वविद्यालय परिवार, डिग्री प्रापकों के साथ उनके अभिभावकों व शिक्षकों को भी बधाई प्रेषित की। अपने संबोधन में उन्होंने कहा कि यह दीक्षांत समारोह छात्राओं के संघर्ष, ज्ञान, प्रतिबद्धता एवं उत्तरदायित्व का प्रमाण है। साथ ही यह दीक्षांत समारोह इन छात्राओं के जीवन के महत्वपूर्ण यात्रा का प्रारंभ भी है। उन्होंने कहा कि इस विश्वविद्यालय की छात्राओं ने इंटरमीडिएट कॉलेज से विश्वविद्यालय बनने तक के सफर में अपनी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई। यह विश्वविद्यालय हजारों बेटियों के सपने पूरे कर,उनमें सकारात्मक परिवर्तन लाया है। 

छात्राओं को शिक्षा प्राप्त कर न केवल विश्वविद्यालय, बल्कि समाज और राष्ट्र के विकास और कल्याण में भी अपनी भूमिका सुनिश्चित करनी चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि वैश्वीकरण के युग में छात्राएँ यथासंभव शिक्षा प्राप्ति के लिए प्रतिबद्ध रहें। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि इस दिशा में जमशेदपुर महिला विश्वविद्यालय एक आदर्श केंद्र के रूप में कार्यरत है। उन्होंने उपदेश दिया कि छात्राएं चुनौतियों को अवसर के रूप में स्वीकार करें। छात्राओं की असीमित क्षमताओं को देखते हुए उन्हें प्रगति पथ पर निरंतर अग्रसरित रहने की शुभकामना भी दी। नेल्सन मंडेला के कथन "शिक्षा सबसे शक्तिशाली हथियार है' को छात्राओं की प्रेरणा का बीज वाक्य बताते हुए उन्हें राष्ट्र विकास में योगदान देने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया।

समारोह में महामहिम राज्यपाल सह कुलाधिपति ने कुल 25 स्वर्ण पदक विजेता छात्राओं को स्वर्ण पदक एवं प्रमाण–पत्र प्रदान किए।

"ओवरऑल बेस्ट ग्रेजुएट" का खिताब बीसीए विभाग की सुश्री सोमा बेरा को प्राप्त हुआ।

अर्थशास्त्र विभाग की सुश्री श्रद्धा सिन्हा को प्रतिष्ठित “डॉ. रेखा झा अवार्ड फॉर एक्सेलेंस इन इकोनॉमिक्स” से सम्मानित किया गया।

यह सम्मान पूर्व विभागाध्यक्ष स्वर्गीय डॉ. रेखा झा की स्मृति में स्थापित है तथा इसके अंतर्गत ₹1,00,000 की धनराशि एवं प्रमाण–पत्र प्रदान किया जाता है।

इस अवसर पर कुल 713 उपाधि–धारकों एवं 17 रैंक धारकों की उपस्थिति से समारोह अत्यंत उल्लासपूर्ण एवं प्रेरणादायी बना रहा।

कुलसचिव के प्रस्ताव पर महामहिम राज्यपाल सह कुलाधिपति ने अपनी अनुपस्थिति में शेष उपाधियाँ प्रदान करने तथा समारोह के समापन हेतु कुलपति महोदया को अधिकृत किया।

राष्ट्रगान के साथ समारोह के प्रथम चरण का समापन हुआ।

समारोह के दूसरे भाग में माननीय कुलपति महोदया प्रो. (डॉ.) अंजिला गुप्ता ने सभी 17 रैंक धारकों को प्रमाण–पत्र एवं स्मृति–चिह्न प्रदान कर सम्मानित किया।

विभिन्न संकायाध्यक्षों द्वारा शेष उपाधि–धारकों को प्रमाण–पत्र प्रदान किए गए।

धन्यवाद ज्ञापन परीक्षा नियंत्रक डॉ. रमा सुब्रमण्यन द्वारा प्रस्तुत किया गया।

कुलपति महोदया द्वारा समापन घोषणा के पश्चात अकादमिक परेड की वापसी के साथ कार्यक्रम सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न हुआ।

Third Convocation Ceremony

The Third Convocation Ceremony of Jamshedpur Women’s University was convened on 19 November 2025 at the historic XLRI Auditorium, Jamshedpur. The ceremony, held with utmost dignity and grandeur, was honoured by the esteemed presence of His Excellency, the Hon’ble Governor and Chancellor, Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, as the Chief Guest.

His Excellency was welcomed by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Anjila Gupta, the Registrar, senior officials, and the students of the university with traditional ceremonial honours. The students presented a Santali welcome dance showcasing the cultural identity of the Santhal tribe, followed by the NSS Clap Ceremony to formally honour His Excellency.

Under the guidance of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, the Academic Procession commenced, after which His Excellency the Governor and Chancellor took his seat on the dais. The ceremony began with the collective rendition of the National Anthem, followed by the presentation of a ceremonial shawl, memento, and sapling to His Excellency by the Vice-Chancellor.

The event was formally inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, after which the University Anthem was presented. On the request of Registrar Dr. Salomi Kujur, the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor declared the commencement of the Convocation Ceremony. The University Souvenir was then unveiled. In her welcome address, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Anjila Gupta extended greetings to His Excellency, the distinguished guests, and all participants, while presenting a detailed report on the academic and research achievements of the university.

She highlighted that the students of the university are contributing remarkably in diverse fields such as nation-building, research, arts, sports, technology, social sciences, innovation, entrepreneurship, and community service. Their participation at national and international platforms has brought continuous pride to the university. She also spoke about the upcoming courses like B.tech in computer science.The Vice-Chancellor extended her best wishes to all degree recipients for a bright future.

On the request of Registrar Dr. Salomi Kujur, the Deans of various faculties addressed the postgraduate and postgraduate vocational students of the 2023–25 session, the M.Ed. students, and the undergraduate and undergraduate vocational students of the 2022–25 session.

Thereafter, on the request of the respective Deans, the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Anjila Gupta formally granted permission to the undergraduate and postgraduate degree recipients of the Faculty of Science, Social Sciences, Humanities, and Commerce to don their degrees.

In his inspirational Convocation Address, His Excellency the Governor and Chancellor, Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, extended heartfelt congratulations to the university family, faculty members, parents, and degree recipients. He stated that honesty and labour is key to success, and highlighted the Central government's emphasis on girls education and praised the Jamshedpur women's University for setting milestones in the field of women's education. He urged the students to act as agents of positive social change and to use their talent meaningfully in the service of the nation as they are future of nation.

During the ceremony, His Excellency awarded gold medals and certificates to 25 gold medalists. The title of Overall Best Graduate was conferred upon Ms. Soma Bera of the BCA Department. Ms. Shraddha Sinha from the Department of Economics received the prestigious “Dr. Rekha Jha Award for Excellence in Economics”, instituted in memory of the late Dr. Rekha Jha, former Head of Department. The award carries a cash prize of ₹1,00,000 along with a certificate.

With the presence of 713 degree recipients and 17 rank holders, the event remained vibrant, inspiring, and celebratory. Upon the proposal of the Registrar, His Excellency authorized the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor to confer the remaining degrees in his absence and to conclude the ceremony.

In the second session, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Anjila Gupta felicitated all 17 rank holders with certificates and mementoes. Certificates were also distributed to the remaining degree recipients by the respective Deans. The ceremony concluded successfully with the return of the Academic Procession following the formal closing announcement by the Vice-Chancellor.

On this occasion, Dr. Kishwar Ara (Dean, Student Welfare and Dean, Social Sciences), Dr. Salomi Kujur (Registrar), Dr. Sudhir Kumar Sahu (Dean, Humanities), Dr. Javed Ahmad (Dean, Science), Dr. Rama Subrahmaniam (Controller of Examinations), Dr. Sanatan Deep (Development Officer), along with all Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty members, non-teaching staff, media representatives, and a large gathering of students contributed significantly towards making the programme memorable and successful.

The Vote of Thanks was presented by the Controller of Examination, Dr. Rama Subrahmaniam.

The Convocation was conducted by Dr. Nupur Anvita Minz (Head, Hindi Department) and Dr. Manisha Titus (Head, English Department), with Ms. Ayesha and Sai Bharti serving as co-anchors.
